“Leading Singapore web host, Signetique, is extending its cloud hosting promotional discount for another month. According to the company, this is in direct response to an overwhelming interest in its cloud hosting services. Further, Singaporean small and medium size enterprises (SMEs) can leverage on a government funding scheme to not only gain full funding to¬†cloud computing services for up to three years, but also get a rebate if they decide to move to the cloud.

Called the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) scheme, SMEs stand to gain 60% rebate on all investments in automation products and services, such as cloud computing, every year up to the year 2015. The PIC scheme was first announced in Singapore Budget 2010 to encourage businesses in Singapore to improve their capabilities and enhance competitiveness by investing in a range of qualifying activities that improve productivity and facilitates innovation. Additionally, to encourage greater adoption of this scheme, from year 2013 to 2015, IRAS (Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore) is giving an additional cash bonus to SMEs, for every dollar spent on qualifying activities up to a maximum S$15,000.00 for the entire period.”
